how to make your animation reel reelly cool

The first 30 seconds of your reel should have some of your best animations, if you can't catch the recruiters attention they will move on. Which is understandable since they have to watch a lot of reels but it puts a lot more pressure on you. But a make sure the ret of the reel is as strong as your beginning animations. Also try to avoid trends, like putting in something that you'd see in other animations. Because they're probably sick of it. So what's most important is thinking outside the box and doing something that's different. Just don't put anything offensive in your reel of course.

I've read a lot of articles about making demo reels and I've seen that there's so many do's and don'ts. But one that I've seen a lot is always show something new and different, which I can agree with. Being different and standing out is really important to me and when I'm creating things like this. I feel like there is a better chance of being noticed that way. I can also agree with being a good actor and having an understanding of it can make you a great animator. After reading this article I'm wondering if they care for 2D animations anymore? Or is it all about 3D now
