The secret to an award winning screenplay

Okay its not really a secret

Things learned:

  • a mistake some film makers do is get off track from the storyline. It makes people confused so that's a huge no-no.
  • the setting of the movie contributes to making an award winning movie; it could take place 50 years before us or 100 years in the future because they're both teaching us how life was different
  • A huge detail that should be focused on is how to portray the theme clearly and not outright saying it.
opinions:
  • overall I liked this article, it gives some informative tips for all movie makers but I think a lot of people have different ideas of what "award winning" might be so they shouldn't limit themselves
  • Film making isn't something I'd get into because I'm not much of a writer.
is having a great film score another element of award winning screenplays?
